The residential project Tetris Hall consists of two 25 - storey towers which are connected by a bridge at the roof level. The project has been developed on a dense site in the prestige business district of central Kiev. The site benefits from close proximity to major cultural and entertainment venues and all the amenities which lie within walking distance. The magnificent panoramic views from each apartment and the modern lifestyle offered by the building’s unmatched private amenities, in combination with the easy access to the center of Kiev, make the Tetris Hall a highly desirable destination for residents and visitors.


The Tetris Hall is clad externally in glass panels of varying colors and size, giving it a unique pattern and defining the building’s architectural identity. The primary material palette of opaque glass panels and the high-performance clear glazing is a novel and unique approach to material choice in Ukraine. This façade solution allows to visually scale down the considerable size of the building. High rise residential towers have been a typology of choice for both developers and apartment buyers in Kiev for a while now, therefore the Tetris Hall has fit well into the emerging skyline of the capital.


The bridge at the roof level, which connects two volumes of the project, features a thrilling transparent glazed floor, and has become an iconic distinctive trademark of the project. Both buildings’ roofs offer high quality recreational areas for the residents. For the first time in Ukraine, this residential development has a 25-m long swimming pool on the roof of a high-rise residential building.


The second roof is equipped with a large BBQ and multifunctional leisure areas where the community comes together. In addition to the amenities created on the roof, there are also a considerable number of services, amenities and social infrastructure at the lower levels of the building, such as a nursery, a gym, a party-room for parties and family celebrations etc. 


A spacious multistory parking has been created in the podium of the buildings utilizing the level difference of adjacent existing streets. Considerable area of the site has been dedicated to a high quality green open space, which was designed to offer a variety of diverse landscape experiences: a park, a lawn, a sport’s field, a play area etc. The landscape design of the project reflects its structured geometrical esthetic.


The Tetris Hall presents a unique to Ukrainian residential architecture project, with recognizable image, well-planned comfortable apartments for diverse tenancies and an unprecedented array of indoor and outdoor amenities for any lifestyle. The project offers residents a wide range of choice of how to enjoy their life: to play with kids at the playground or in the pool, or to organize a BBQ or a picnic with friends, or to sunbathe, or to relax in the shade of blossoming trees in the park, or to play sports, or to nap in a hummock…

The architectural build of Brookes CIL International School was sparked by the idea of creating a safe and secure school environment void of outside distractions from urban environment and the noise of the city.
Built with purpose to foster dynamic, supportive and calm learning spaces, Brookes CIL is oriented inward towards a world of play and knowledge where two social courtyards form at the core of the school.


All classrooms are oriented towards either an inner patio or tranquil sunny outdoor space connected to the inner courtyards.
The building has a three-part composition.


The central volume is the atrium. The central atrium along with two courtyards was conceived with the idea this space would be central to life at Brookes CIL. This area acts as a main entrance for students, a large multifunctional space, a place for informal meetings, lessons in large groups, etc. This exciting space brings the school community together.
The left wing of the building, located near the school transport hub, is designated to our administrative function. Here we have designed a separate entrance for parents, as well as a two-level medical center with the possibility of access for emergency vehicles.
The right wing of the building is designed for lower primary students and houses a separate entrance.
The Primary, Middle and High Schools are located on the three main educational levels of the building. The building reflects the growth philosophy of the school where the youngest children are settled downstairs and progress upwards by age group.

To ensure the safety of students along the perimeter of the school, a fence is provided with a height of 4.5 m. Three entrance groups with turnstiles and security posts provide students and their parents with safe access to the school campus.  A transport hub for school buses has been designed along the west wing of the building. Access to the school is organized from three streets, which will ensure maximum flexibility for both pedestrian and transport access to the school.  Zones of sports grounds, recreation and playgrounds are represented by a wide variety both in the courtyards and on the wide playground with a green lawn and grove, as well as on the exploited roof.

The
layout of the project and its setting in the city fabric is based on the
analyses of pedestrian and vehicular movement adjacent to and on the site,
public transport connections, and organisation of efficient servicing. 


Dynamic
and complex parametric facade made of glass elements resembles massive ocean
waves. Special attention was given to the facade lighting, led lights inbuilt
in each glass element allow creation of stunning light effects, like dynamic
light compositions of different color and intensity, and dynamic advertisement.
Secondary facades were executed in porcelain tiles and aluminum panels. 


The main
entrance to the shopping mall is strategically located on the Lybidska square,
next to the Lybidska tube station, as well as the nearby train
station. Secondary entrances are arranged along the commuters
routes.&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;


Sixteen
meters high aquarium located in the main atrium showcases diverse
collection of marine animals and forms the heart of the mall.


The
chosen marketing name for the shopping mall Ocean Plaza determined
most of the design decisions such as the eye catching exterior facade and
interior design solutions.
